Problem Note 65872: You see a "java.lang.IllegalArgumentException" error in the log file when you use the CECL_Cycle workflow template in SAS® Solution for CECL
The NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE and NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY notifications in the CECL_Cycle workflow template might fail in the SAS Solution for CECL content release on the SAS® Risk Governance Framework. When the problem occurs, you see an error similar to the following in the SASRiskGovernanceFrameworkMidTier.log:
ERROR com.sas.oprisk.monitor.web.servlet.WorkflowCommandServlet - /Workflow?command=setOperandsForNotification&tpHandle=CUST_OBJ_214%7C10013%7Crmc%7C&processTemplateName=CECL_Cycle
&processLabel=NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE&ticket=ST-24369-TckeYqKEr7F2wbFWTaCi-cas
java.lang.IllegalArgumentException: processLabel=NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE - Could not find active process for the label value.
The problem occurs because the value of the RGF_NOTIFY_NAME data object in each of those notification subflows is reversed. Also, the NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY notification policy invokes the wrong alert notification template.
To work around the issue, perform the following steps:
- In SAS® Workflow Studio, log on to the server, and check out the CECL_Cycle workflow template from the repository.
- Double-click the Reports subflow in the diagram.
- In the workflow tree, expand the Reports subflow and the tasks within the Reports subflow. Then expand the NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE and NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY subflows.
- Expand the data objects in the NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE subflow, and edit the RGF_NOTIFY_NAME data object.
- Change the value from NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY to NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE, and click OK.
- Expand the data objects in the NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY subflow, and edit the RGF_NOTIFY_NAME data object.
- Change the value from NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_COMPLETE to NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY, and click OK.
- Expand the tasks in the NOTIFY_OF_ATTRIBUTION_READY subflow, and expand the Send Notification task.
- Expand the policies in the Send Notification task, and edit the Process Started > Send Workflow Notification policy.
- Change the value of the Template field from CECL_Alert_Cycle_Attribution_Complete to CECL_Alert_Cycle_Attribution_Ready, and click OK.
- Save the workflow template to the repository in the Server menu, and activate the template.
Click the Downloads tab in this note to access a corrected CECL_Cycle workflow template.
